Term Dates

We are pleased to confirm the holiday dates for the 2027-2028 academic year and would like to make you aware of an important change to the October half-term break.

This year, we were fortunate to enjoy a two-week break during October half term. However, after careful consideration, we have been unable to sustain this arrangement for next year without significantly reducing the length of the summer holiday.

We recognise that our school benefits from finishing for the summer holidays earlier than many other local authorities. This often allows families to access more affordable holiday options, and we were keen to preserve this advantage rather than shorten the summer break.

As a result, the October half-term holiday in 2027 will be one week and two days in length.

For families who enjoy finding great-value holidays, we would strongly encourage you to begin planning early. The timing of the break provides flexibility beyond the traditional Saturday-to-Saturday or Sunday-to-Sunday options. Many travel providers offer significant savings on holidays departing and returning on weekdays, such as Monday-to-Monday or Tuesday-to-Tuesday, which may help families secure more affordable breaks.

We are also pleased to share that, during part of the October 2027 half-term break next year, families will have access to a range of activities run by our valued partners, JW Sports Academy and BW Performance Academy. These sessions will provide opportunities for children to take part in sports, drama and dance activities throughout the holiday, helping them to stay active, develop new skills and have fun with their friends. Further information will be shared closer to the time.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We hope that providing plenty of notice will help families plan ahead and make the most of the holiday period.
